All international students who are arriving in Tasmania for the first time will be met at the airport in Tasmania. It helps to see a friendly face when you arrive, because you will probably feel very tired.
There is no cost for this service and it is available at Hobart, Launceston and Devonport Airports.
Make sure that you or your study agent has submitted the Arrival Details form together with your tuition payment, at least one week before your course start date. Without these, we cannot arrange the airport pickup.

They will be holding a sign with your name written in English. Tasmanian airports are small by international standards and it should not be difficult for you to find your contact.
If you are worried about transferring from your international flight to the correct domestic connection, you might like to have someone meet you in Sydney or Melbourne to help.
